Note.According to researcher David Stirling, he was the son of Wm McFarlane & Margt King at Cullings, 1810.3 
MarriageHe married Agnes Graham, daughter of Walter Graham and Elizabeth Gow or Ferguson, on 10 Mar 1864 in Dunblane.1,4
 
(Informant) DeathRobert registered the 1868 death of Elizabeth Graham. He was recorded as son-in-law Robert McFarlane, present at the death.5 
1871 CensusRobert and Agnes Macfarlane appeared on the 1871 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Stockbridge. Robert was 57, a farmer of 100 acres employing 2 men and 1 boy, and was born in Dunblane. Agnes was 43 and born in Kilmadock. Their children were William (6), Elizabeth (4), and Margaret (1). Also in the household were two ploughmen and a domestic servant.6 
1881 CensusRobert and Agnes appeared on the 1881 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Drumlochy Cottage. Robert was 68, a carter, and born in Dunblane. Agnes was 55, born in Doune. Their children were William (16, apprentice clerk), Elizabeth (14, scholar), and Margaret (11, scholar).2 
DeathRobert died in Nov 1897 in Drumlochy Cottage, Dunblane, Perthshire.3
 
BurialHe was buried on 23 Nov 1897 in Dunblane Cathedral Churchyard, Dunblane, Perthshire.3
