Elizabeth was 60, Independent, and born in Stirlingshire. With them were Jane Campbell (30), Mary Graham (30), Thomas Graham (20, farmer), and two female servants. [John's name was badly botched on the index but I think it's him. Adult ages were rounded down in the 1841 census].7 |

Biography | Killearn Parish. John Graham of Balfunning, born 1st May 1778, second son of Thomas G., farmer, and Mary M'Ewan, and nephew of preceding min. [James G, b1737]; educated at Univ. of Glasgow; licen. by Presb. of Perth 30th Sept 1801; ord to Fintry 12th Sept. 1805; pres. by James, Duke of Montrose, 29th Jan., and adm. 30th May 1822; D.D. (Glasgow 1825); Moderator of General Assembly 23rd May 1850; died 12th Jan. 1865. He marr. 20th Nov 1805, Elizabeth (died 1st June 1857, aged 79), only surviving child of David Bannerman of Letham Hill and Jean Finlay of the Moss, and had issue--Jane, born 8th Oct 1806 (marr. 12 June 1832, the Rev James Campbell of Petershill), died in 1838; Margaret, born 6th Nov 1808; Elizabeth, born 7 May 1812, died 26 Jan 1836; Captain Thomas of Balfunning, born 7 June 1817, died 23 April 1894.10 |
