(with Father) 1851 CensusThomas appeared on the 1851 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire in the household of his father Lewis Kinross. He was 30 years old, unmarried, and born in Dunblane.1 
(Witness) ProbateThomas Kinross was an executor of the estate of Lewis Kinross on 13 Jun 1856 in Dunblane.2 
Misc On 19 Jun 1856, Thomas Kinross and Alexander Kinross filed a Mutual Assignation that, as they are joint tenants in the farm at Loig of Wester Feddal, the lease and all farm belongings shall be "made over to ourselves jointly, to their heirs respectively, and failing heirs to the first deceased of them in favour of the survivor and his heirs, whom also failing to Ann Kinross or Stirling wife of William Stirling Architect in Dunblane."5 
MarriageThomas Kinross married Mary Reid Stirling, daughter of James Stirling and Mary Reid, on 23 Aug 1860 in Cambushinie, Dunblane, Perthshire.
Information from the certificate: Thomas was age 41, residence Loig, bachelor, father Lewis Kinross, farmer, mother Mary Pryce;
Mary, age 23, residence Cambushinie, spinster, father James Stirling, farmer, mother Mary maiden surname Reid;
They were married after banns according to the Church of Scotland by John Graham D.D. from Killearn [Mary's granduncle] and the witnesses were James Stirling [could be Mary's father or brother] and [Mary's uncle] Walter Reid.3 
1861 CensusThomas and Mary Reid appeared on the 1861 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Loig. This was the residence of Alexander Kinross, and Thomas was noted to be his nephew. Thomas was 41, married, a farmer, and born in Ardoch. Mary was 23 and born in Ardoch. Also in the household were 3 dairy maids, a cow feeder and a ploughman.6 
(Witness) ProbateThomas Kinross was an executor of the estate of his uncle Alexander Kinross on 22 Jul 1863 in Dunblane.5 
1871 CensusThomas and Mary B [sic] appeared on the 1871 Census of Ardoch, Perthshire, at Loig Farm House. Thomas was a farmer of 210 Acres, employed 3 Labourers & 3 Men, age 47, birthplace Ardoch. Mary was 33, birthplace Ardoch. Their children were Mary (9), Elisabeth (7), Maggie (6), and Lillias (2). Also there were 3 general servants and a ploughman.7 
1881 CensusThomas Kinross appeared on the 1881 Census of Ardoch, Perthshire, at Loig. He was a farmer of 170 acres arable and employed 3 men, 1 girl & 1 boy. Thomas was 57, married, and born in Ardoch. [His wife was visiting her parents when the census was taken]. With him were his children Lewis James (3), Elizabeth G S (17), Maggie A (16), Agnes I (8), and Jane H (6). Also in the household were Jane S (14), James A (11), and Anna A (9) Yule who were born in Glasgow and 3 farm servants.8 
1891 CensusThomas appeared on the 1891 Census of Ardoch, Perthshire, at Loig. His wife was enumerated at their daughter Lizzie's house, probably helping with her new baby. Thomas was 69, married, a farmer & employer, and was born in Ardoch. His children at home were Mary Reid (29), Agnes Isabella (18), Jane Helen (16), Lewis James (13), and John (7). Their house had 6 rooms with windows and there were five farm servants with them.9 
1901 CensusThomas and Mary appeared on the 1901 Census of Dysart, Fife, at West 10 Farm. Thomas was 80 years old, a farmer, and born in Chaock [sic], Perthshire. Mary was 63, a farmer's wife, and also born in Chaock [perhaps this is a poor rendition of Ardoch]. With them was their daughter Mary (39) and a visitor (William Swan, 45, commercial traveller).10 
DeathThomas died on 5 Dec 1913.
The death certificate noted that he was 92, resided at 90 High Street, Dysart, Fife, and was a retired farmer married to Mary Stirling Kinross. His parents were listed as Lewis Kinross, farmer, and Marion "Mary" Price Kinross, both deceased. Mary Reid Kinross, daughter, was present.11
