1861 CensusThomas and Mary J Graham appeared on the 1861 Census of Drymen, Stirlingshire, at Balfunning House. Thomas was 40, a Proprietor, and was born in Fintry. Mary J was 29 and born in North Berwick, East Lothian. With them were their children John (5), Christina L (4), and Robert B (2) as well as two domestic servants.6 
1871 CensusThomas and Christina M J Graham appeared on the 1871 Census of Drymen, Stirlingshire, at Balfunning House. Thomas was 52 and born in Fintry Stirlingshire. His occupation was Proprietor J P Captain & Adjutant Dumbartonshire Rifle Volun. Christina was 41 and born in North Berwick, East Lothian. At home they had one daughter, Christina L (14) as well as one general domestic servant.7 
1881 CensusThomas and Mary Janet appeared on the 1881 Census of Barony, Lanarkshire, at 18 Lansdowne Crescent. Thomas was a 'Capt on Trd List Army', age 63, and born in Fintry. His wife was 52 and born in North Berwick. Their children were John (25, general produce merchant), Thomas (19, lawyers apprentice), William (17, clerk to a general produce merchant). They had one domestic servant.8 
1891 CensusThomas and Mary J Graham appeared on the 1891 Census of Edinburgh, Midlothian, at 19 Barnton Terrace. Thomas was an annuitant, 73 years old, and born in Fintry. Mary was 62 and born in North Berwick, East Lothian. With them were their son John (35, merchant), daughter Charlotte L G [sic] Gibbs (34), grandson Thomas W Graham (7, born Chryston, Lanark), and one domestic servant.9

1901 CensusC Mary J Graham appeared on the 1901 Census of Edinburgh, Midlothian, at 19 Barnton Terrace. She was living on her own means, 72 years old, and born in N Berwick. With her was her niece Mary Jane Graham (37, birthplace Berwick Marton) and one domestic servant.12
