(Heir) CodicilBridget was named an heir in the codicil to her stepfather David Henry's will dated 9 Oct 1788. In it he left to his "daughter in law" the produce of his Leasehold Estate at Clayhill amounting to 40£, she paying the land tax of the small freehold adjoining said premises.3

Extract from Minutes
17th July 1821
Lord Fitz Roy Somerset, Secretary to the Master General, having by letter of the 20th instant, in answer to the Board's communication of the 11th, signified his Grace's desire that the Widow of the late Professor Bonnycastle of the Rl Military Academy may be granted the regulated pension.
Ordered that Mrs Bonnycastle be paid the regulated pension of £30 per annum, from the decease of her husband.

The file also contained an extract from the church register of St Martin Ludgate with the particulars of the Bonnycastles marriage in 1786. The certificate was returned to Mrs Bonnycastle 13 March 1822.11 
Residence In 1825, Bridget lived in Plumstead, Kent.4 
DeathBridget died on 19 Oct 1825 in Woolwich, Kent.12
 
BurialShe was buried on 24 Oct 1825 in St. Luke's, Charlton, Kent. She shares a tombstone with her husband.4,10 
Gravestone The gravestone inscription reads:
Sacred to the memory of John Bonnycastle, Esq., late Professor of Mathematics at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, born Janry., 1752, died May 15, 1821.
Also the body of Bridget, his wife, who departed this life Oct 19th, 1825, aged 73 years.

Death - Oct 19 - At Woolwich, aged 73, Mrs. Bonnycastle, widow of the late professor Bonnycastle, of the Royal Military Academy. She was the daughter of Mr. Newell, many years master of the famous Jerusalem tavern at Clerkenwell.12
