1901 CensusSisters Elizabeth A and Caroline S Gritton appeared on the 1901 Census of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, at Skurrayfield, Wingfield Road, enumerated 31 Mar 1901. Elizabeth was 44, single, and born in Deal, Kent. Caroline was 54, single, and born in Southsea, Hants. Their cousin [and Elizabeth's future husband] William Hopewell Budd was living with them.6
