Mary Reed: 24, Spinster, father Samuel Reed, Shoe Maker;
Their residences were both All Souls District and they were married in All Souls Church in St Marylebone parish. Witnesses were Samuel Reed & Jane Reed.1 
1841 CensusHerbert and Mary Godart appeared on the 1841 Census of Marylebone, Middlesex, at Union Street. Herbert was 20, a Carver, Mary was 20 and they were both born in this county. With them was their daughter Mary (1). At the same address was Samuel Reed (64, shoemaker). Note that the 1841 census records ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years, does not record relationships, and only indicates whether or not the person was born in the county.3 
1851 CensusHerbert and Mary Goddart [sic] appeared on the 1851 Census of St Pancras, Middlesex, at 44 London Street. There were 4 households at this address. Herbert was 33, an Ornamental Wood Carver, and was born in St Pancras. Mary was 37 and born in St Pancras. Their children were Mary (10), Herbert (9), and Martha (3). Also there were Herbert's father-in-law Samuel Reid and niece Charlotte Reid.4 
Research Note Herbert was not with his wife Mary & family in the 1871, 81 or 91 census but Mary is listed as married and Herbert was with Isabella and a second family. Neither Herbert nor Mary has been found in the 1861 census. 
1871 CensusMary Reed appeared on the 1871 Census of St Pancras Civil Parish, Middlesex, at 119 Gloucester Road. Mary was 55, married, a Wood Carver wife, and born in Marylebone, Middlesex. Her husband was not here. Her children Herbert, Martha and Sarah were living with her.5 
(Other) 1881 CensusMary Godart appeared on the 1881 Census of Chelsea, Middlesex, in the household of Joseph and Mary Smith, her son-in-law and daughter. She was married, age 67, born in London, Middlesex and a lodger.6 
1891 CensusMary Reed appeared on the 1891 Census of Tottenham, Middlesex, at 7 Bernard Road. Mary was married, age 76, living on her own means, and was born in Marylebone, London. She occupied one room. Living at 13 Bernard Road was her daughter Sarah Keble and family.2 
DeathMary died in 1895.7
