1891 CensusHe and Emma Rhoda Palmer appeared on the 1891 Census of Islington, London, at 40 Richard Street. Horace E was 34, worked as an Heraldic Ornamental Engraver, and was born in Islington. Emma R was 32 and worked as a Dressmaker.6 
MarriageHorace Edwin Fernee married Lillian Sidders.
They may not have actually married, as no marriage record has yet been found. Horace Edwin's first wife Emma Rhoda lived until 1936. Horace and Lillian had a child and were together as a married couple in the 1901 census. Lillian married again in New Zealand in 1911 and Horace married again in England in 1916.7 
Note.Their son Horace George, born in 1896, was baptised in January of 1896. His father Horace was noted to be an engraver and their residence was 81 Margaret Street.8 
1901 CensusHorace and Lilian Fernee appeared on the 1901 Census of Clerkenwell, London, at 81 Margaret Street, enumerated 31 Mar 1901. There were three families at this address and the Fernees live in 2 rooms. Horace was 43, a General on ---- (sculp), and was born in Islington. Lillian was 24 and born in Whitstable, Kent. They had one son, Horace, who was 5 years old.7 
Note.In 1908, Lillian and their son Horace George emigrated to New Zealand.9 
MarriageHorace Edwin Fernee married Emily Mary Croucher on 24 Apr 1916 in St George the Martyr Queen Square, London.
