1881 CensusJohn and Emily L appeared on the 1881 Census of St Mary Islington, London, at 9 Barford Street, enumerated 3 Apr 1881. John was 35, a Painter, and was born in Hoxton, Middlesex. Emily L was 32 and born in Highgate. Their son Robert John was listed as living with them.6
