1881 CensusSarah Fernee and Gregory Denny appeared on the 1881 Census of St Pancras, London, at 2 Cain Place. Gregory was 28, a Coal Porter, and was born in London. Sarah was 24, a Charwoman, born London. Three families were at this address. Their children Edward and Steven were living with them.5 
1891 CensusSarah Fernee and Gregory Denny appeared on the 1891 Census of Pancras, London, at 66 Peckwater Street. The Dennys occupied 3 rooms as did Sarah's cousin Thomas Fernee and family. Gregory was 38, employed as a Coal Porter and was born in Surrey. Sarah was 34 and born in Pancras. Their children Edward, Steven, Emily, Rosina and Arthur were with them.6 
(Widowed) Death RegistrationGregory's death, registered in Mar 1897, left Sarah a widow.7
 
1901 CensusShe appeared on the 1901 Census of St Pancras, London, at 63 Peckwater Street. Sarah was a widow, age 44, working at home as a Laundress, and was born in St Pancras. Her family occupied four rooms and the other two rooms were occupied by her sister Emily with her husband and six children. Nearby at 69 Peckwater were her sister Mary Ann's family and her mother. Her children Emily, Rosina, Arthur, John and Maud were living with her.8 
(Subject) Photograph Sarah Denny was in the family group photo taken at her nephew Charlie's wedding in 1909.
DeathSarah died in 1941.9
 
Research Note There was an Edward Fernee born in Pancras in 1875; this is probably the child called Edward Denny in the 1881 census.
