Land Record On 14 Nov 1866, the original purchaser James Fidlar transferred his right to Lot 15 Concession 5 in Marmora Township to John Fidlar by assignment. It was endorsed by the affidavit of Francis B Parker in Lot 15 Conc 5, Marmora, Ontario.3 
(Sibling) 1871 CensusHe appeared on the 1871 Census of Marmora Township, Hastings County, Ontario, in his brother John's household. He was 74 years old, born in Scotland, Free Presbyterian, and a mechanic.4 
DeathJames died on 29 Jul 1875 in Marmora Township, Hastings County, Ontario.
Details from the registration: age 79, farmer, Presbyterian, birthplace Stromness Island of Pomona, one of the Orkeny [sic] Islands. Cause of death was congestion of the lungs of seven weeks duration and he was attended by Dr Robert Parker. The informant was [his nephew] James H Fidlar, Marmora, registered 7 Aug 1875.5
