1901 CensusWilliam and Alice L Inkster appeared on the 1901 Census of Kenlis, Assiniboia, Northwest Territories, at Township19 Range 11 W2. They lived in an 8 room wood house and owned 317 acres, 1 house, and 3 outbuildings. William was 39 years old, born 10 April 1862 in rural Ontario, of Scotch origin, Presbyterian, and was a farmer and employer working on his own account. Alice was 35, born 23 April 1865 in rural Ontario, and was of German origin. Their children were Hedley C (age 10, attended school 10 months) and Mary E (age 7, attended school 8 months). Also in the household was a farm laborer.3 
1906 CensusWilliam and Alice Insinger [sic] appeared on the 1906 Census of Saskatchewan, at Sec 23 Twp 19 R 11 W, enumerated 24 Jun 1906. They had 10 horses, 1 milk cow, 2 cattle, and 5 hogs. William was 45? and born in Ontario. Alice was 40 and born in Ontario. Their children were Haddick (16) and Edith (12).6 
1911 CensusWilliam and Ellen [sic] Inkster appeared on the 1911 Census of Saskatchewan, at Township 19 Range 11 W2nd. William was 56 years old, born in January 1855 in Ontario, of English origin, Presbyterian, and was a farmer working on his own account. Ellen [Alice] was 50, born in 1860 in Ontario, and of English origin. Their children were Charles H (21, farmer) and Edith (17). Living with them was a farm laborer.7 
1916 CensusWilliam and Alice L Inkster appeared on the 1916 Census of Sherwood Municipality, Saskatchewan, at Twp 17 Range 21 W2, enumerated 1 Jun 1916. William was 54, born in Ontario, Presbyterian, Scotch origins, and was a Farmer and employer. Alice L was 51, born in Ontario, Presbyterian, and of Scotch origin. They had one lodger, a labourer, living with them.8 
DeathWilliam died in 1918.9
 
BurialHe was buried in Abernethy, Saskatchewan.9
