Maria was 25, born 3 May 1875 in the United States, immigrated in 1875, of English origin. The family was Methodist. Their children were George (3) and Albert (1).5 
1910 CensusJames A Tassie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, enumerated 18 Apr 1910. He was a roomer, age 39, D[ivorced], born in Canada, with parents born in Scotland. He immigrated in 1901, had alien status, and was an engineer who had been out of work 15 weeks in 1909 but was currently working.6 
1920 CensusJames appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois, at 252 87th Street, enumerated 22 Jan 1920. James was unrelated to the head of the house. He was 50, single, immigration details unknown, born in Canada of Canadian parents, and was a watchman at a Club House.7
