Research Note Arguably the correct family in Tynemouth; there is no refuting evidence so far other than James was a sailor in Stromness, then a grocer in Tynemouth. Their daughter Elizabeth married in Tynemouth in 1839 with witness Sarah Harvey which could be her sister or her mother.
1841 CensusJames and Sarah Harvey appeared on the 1841 Census of Tynemouth, Northumberland, at Tyne Street. James was 50, a grocer, and born in Scotland. Sarah was 45 and born in Scotland. With them were [son] William Harvey (15, born in the county of Northumberland) and [dtr] Sarah (25, Scotland) & Margery (9 months) Moat. Note that the 1841 census records ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years, does not record relationships, and only indicates whether or not the person was born in the county.2
DeathJames died between 1841 and 1851, probably in Tynemouth, Northumberland, England.
Research Note There are entries in the death record index for 'James Harvey' in 1845 & 1847 in Tynemouth. Sarah was a widow in the 1851 census.
