1881 CensusSarah T Reid and her son Charles appeared on the 1881 Census of London, Middlesex, at 12 Tadmore St. She was recorded as the sister-in-law of Arthur C Garbutt whose wife was Emma D age 26 born Newcastle [likely Sarah's sister]. Her husband and daughter Marion were enumerated with her brother-in-law William Reid in Wales.5

1891 CensusSarah Reid and her grandson Earnest Reid appeared on the 1891 Census of West Ham, Essex, at 51 Clifford Road. Sarah was a widow, age 51, and born in Newcastle on Tyne. Earnest was recorded as her son [he is actually her son Charles' son], age 3 and born in Marylebone, Middlesex. She had two boarders there as well.6 
(Other) 1901 CensusSarah appeared on the 1901 Census of Islington, London, in the household of her son Charles Paterson Reid. She was a widow, age 62, and born in Newcastle on Tyne.7 
(Other) 1911 CensusSarah Reid appeared on the 1911 Census of Barnsbury, London, in the household of her son Charles. She was 74, a widow, had been married 20 years, 2 children born alive and 2 still living. She was a housekeeper working at home and was born in Newcastle, Northumberland.8 
DeathSarah died in Sep 1917.1
 
BurialShe was buried on 25 Oct 1917 in Hendon, London. She was 81 years of age, abode 10 Avon House, Offord Road.1
