Description on enlistment: age 28, 5' 6 1/2", expanded chest 41", fair complexion, light blue eyes, fair hair, 2 vaccination marks on left arm, Presbyterian.2

1921 CensusJohn Miller appeared on the 1921 Census of Francis Municipality, Saskatchewan, at Section 5 Township 13 Range 14 W2. He owned his 9-room (this is large) wood house and his mother and father were living with him. John was age 34, single, born in Scotland, immigrated in 1905, Presbyterian, and was a Farmer working on his own account. His parents were 65, no occupation, immigration year 1913.6 
(Not mentioned) ObituaryHe was not mentioned in his brother James's 1970 obituary.7
