1861 CensusJohn Robertson and Jean Kinross appeared on the 1861 Census of Dunblane, Perthshire, at Middleton. John was age 39, born in Fowlis W, and a Farmer of 100 Acres Employing 2 Men and 2 Women. Jean was 38 and born in Muthill. Their children Peter, John, James, Isabella and Janet were with them, as well as a ploughman and a domestic servant.5

1871 CensusJohn Robertson and Jean Kinross appeared on the 1871 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at Edens Cottage. John was 47, a Gardener, and born in Surleskirk [sic], Perthshire. Jean was 46 and born in Fonthill [sic]. Their children Peter, John, Isabella and Janet were living with them.10 
1881 CensusJohn Robertson and Jean Kinross appeared on the 1881 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at 3 Cemetery Road (Yester Cottage). John was age 56, a Jobbing Gardener, and born in Fowlis Wester. Jean was 55 and born in Muthill. None of their children were there but they had one lodger, an unmarried wool spinner.2 
1891 CensusJohn Robertson and Jean Kinross appeared on the 1891 Census of Crieff, Perthshire, at 4 N Bridge St. John was 66, a Jobbing Gardener, and was born in Fowlish [sic], Perthshire. Jean was 66 and born in Muthill. They had an elderly lodger living with them.11 
BurialJohn Robertson & Jean Kinross were buried in Ford Road Cemetery, Crieff, Perthshire. Also recorded on the stone were their daughters, Jessie Robertson buried in 1937 at age 75 and Isabella Robertson buried in 1949 at age 90.12
