They rented their home for $50 a month and had a radio. Marvin was 34, first married at 27, born in Michigan, parents born in Michigan, and was an Engineer for the Railroad. He was a veteran of the World War. Servilius was 33, first married at 26, born in Michigan, father born in Ireland, and mother in New Jersey. Their children Robert E and Ruth were living with them.9
1940 CensusMarvin and Servilas appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of East Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, at 1456 East. They owned their home which was worth $6500, a high value for the neighborhood. In April 1935, they lived in East Cleveland, but not in the same house. Marvin was 44, had an 8th grade education, birthplace Michigan. He was employed as a stationary engineer at a public school.
