Charles was 42, born in Dec 1857 in Michigan, father born in New Jersey, mother's birthplace unknown, and was a Farmer. May was 28, born in Apr 1872 in Michigan, and had 3 children. They had been married 9 years and owned their farm free. Their children Thursa, Voorhees and Harold LaRue were living with them, as well as May's widowed mother Catherine Merchant.5 
1910 CensusCharles E and May C appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Dundee Township, Monroe County, Michigan, enumerated 19 Apr 1910. Charles was 51, born in Michigan, father born in New Jersey, mother in Ohio, and he was a Farmer working on his own account in general farming. May was 38, born in Michigan, and had 4 chldren, all still living. They had been married 19 years (first marriage for both) and owned their farm with a mortgage. Charles was 61, born in Michigan, parents born in New Jersey, and was a farmer working a general farm on his own account. Hattie was 49 and born in Michigan. At home were son Laroue (20, farm labor) and stepson Earnest W Brown (13).9 
(Mentioned) ObituaryHe was mentioned in Richard Suydam's 1924 obituary as brother Charlie from Dundee.10
