1910 CensusJohn and Mable McLean appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Harvey, Cook County, Illinois, at 14840 Centre Avenue, enumerated 20 Apr 1910. John was 55, born in Canada, parents born in Scotland, and he worked on his own account as a tea & coffee merchant. He immigrated in 1867 and was naturalized. Mable was 45, born in Illinois, parents born in New York, and she was employed as a dress maker. They had been married 20 years (first marriage for both) and owned their home free. Mabel was the mother of two children, both still living. Their daughters were Hazel (17) and Helen (11.)8

BurialHe was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. The gravestone is inscribed: "Father / John A McLean / 1853 - 1915."9
