INKSTER-SMART
At high noon a quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr and Mrs W T Smart, of Watson, Sask., October 1st, when their daughter, Mabel, was given in marriage to John Herbert Inkster, also of Watson. Rev E Crossley officiated.
The bride was given away by her father. She carried a prayer book used for the same purpose nearly fifty years ago by her grandmother. The bride was charmingly gowned in oyster satin, her only ornament a diamond studded wrist watch, the gift of the groom.
For the wedding breakfast the table was graced with red carnations.
Mr Gordon Inkster attended his brother. Mrs Smart was matron of honor, wearing a black and white georgette ensemble.
Only the immediate relatives were present, Mr Inkster, Sr., and Miss Muriel Inkster, of Raymore, Sask; Mrs Wright of Winnipeg, grandmother of the bride; Herbert Smart of Watson; Mr and Mrs Verne Campbell of Disley, Sask, and Mrs Crossley of Watson.
The bride's traveling costume was of brown flat crepe.
The couple left on the afternoon train for Winnipeg, Chicago and other points.11
