1930 CensusArthur H and Nellie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, at 307 South 4th Avenue, enumerated 18 Apr 1930. Arthur H was 41, first married at 24, born in Illinois, parents born in Illinois, and he worked as a laborer in a Steel plant. Nellie was 35, first married at 17, born in Illinois, and her parents born in Illinois. Their children were Lydia (17), Arthur Jr (9), and Wilma I (6). The two younger children attended school. At the same address were Nellie's brother Ira and his wife, and Nellie's father, as well as a couple named Hausleman. Arthur and Nellie's monthly rent was $65. They did not own a radio.7

It was recorded that Arthur Henry Collins Senior resided at 1903 E 84th Street, Cleveland, no telephone. He was 53, born Aug 29 1888 in Pinckneyville, Illinois. His contact person was Arthur H Collins of the same address. He was unemployed. Arthur was 5' 8" tall, 125 pounds, blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion, and wore glasses.3 
DeathArthur died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In the early 1960s, according to Wilma. She didn't hear much of him after she turned 8 in the early 1930s. 
Research Note There is an entry in the Ohio Death Index for an Arthur H Collins, died 11 Feb 1965 in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. He was white, married, age 76 [puts birth year c1889].8
