1891 CensusJames B and Eliza Cox appeared on the 1891 Census of Hackney, London, at "The Sultan" , No 19 Wells Street, enumerated 5 Apr 1891. James was 41, a Beer retailer working on his own account, and was born in Southwark, London. Eliza was 43 and born in Bow, London. With them was James' 81-year old widowed mother Mary and one domestic servant.8
