(Witness) 1841 CensusMary Cordell appeared on the 1841 Census of Harlow, Essex in the household of her parents (although relationships are not recorded in the 1841 census). She was 20 years old and born in Essex. Also there was 6 month old William Cordell, presumably her son.4 
MarriageShe married William Lincoln on 16 Feb 1847 in Harlow.

1851 CensusWilliam and Mary Lincoln appeared on the 1851 Census of Harlow, Essex, at Fore Street. William was 35, an Agricultural Labourer, and was born in Harlow. Mary was 30 and born in Harlow. Their children were Edward (8, scholar), Frederick (4), and Emma (8 months.)5 
Research Note Mary and William were married in 1847, so Edward (age 8 in 1851 census) must be from a previous marriage. 
1861 CensusWilliam and Mary appeared on the 1861 Census of Harlow, Essex, at Foster Street. William was 49, an Agricultural Laborer, and was born in Netteswell, Essex. Mary was 38 and born in Harlow. Their children were Edward (16, Ag Lab), Frederick (12, Ag Lab), Emma (8), William (6), Eliza (4), and Anne (2.)2 
(Widowed) DeathHer husband William died in 1869.6 
1871 CensusMary Lincoln appeared on the 1871 Census of Theydon Garnon, Essex. She was a widow, age 44, occupation Washerwoman, birthplace Harlow. With her were her children Frederick (21, Messenger unable to work), Eliza (16, servant), Anne (12, scholar), and John (9, scholar.)7 
1881 CensusMary Lincoln appeared on the 1881 Census of Harlow, Essex, at Shoe Lane. Mary was 63, widowed, occupation Needlewoman &c, and born in Harlow. Her children at home were William (27, horsekeeper) and John (19, cowman.)8 
DeathMary died in 1885.3
