PARKER of Somerset, England, blacksmiths
My ancestor, Samuel Parker of Bleadon, was a blacksmith. As I was researching him, I noticed many Parkers who were blacksmiths in the neighbouring parishes of Hutton, Lympsham, East Brent, Bleadon, Worles, and Weston super Mare. Forenames such as John, George, Mary, Elizabeth, and especially Samuel were often repeated so there were several of each in each generation, which made it quite a puzzle to sort out. Gradually the pieces fell into place and they all appear to be members of the same family tree.
