(Listed) Passenger ListEdw Bonnycastle Mayne was found on a passenger manifest with his parents on 20 Jun 1916 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, He was 12 years old and was born in France. The family was traveling to India.2 
Passenger ListEdward B Mayne was listed on a manifest dated 15 Aug 1918 for the SS Pannonia, arriving in Liverpool from Montreal. He was 15, a Schoolboy, last residence Canada, intended residence England, and traveling in Cabin class. His address was c/o H.S.King & Co. London. Not certain this is the correct Edward Mayne but his mother and siblings were on the same route in June 1919 so the family was apparently in Canada.4 
EducationHe was educated at Cambridge. He was listed at St John's College with the students who matriculated in 1920.5

Broad St New York, length of time 6 mos, does not intend to become a citizen, 5'11", dark complexion, brown hair and eyes.3

From the list: Edward Bonnycastle Mayne, 32, single, merchant, citizen of Britain, born St. Servan France, Passport visa issued 1934 London, last residence London, nearest relative father A Mayne c/o Lloyds Bank Ltd 6 Pall Mall London, final destination San Francisco, last departed U.S. April 1934, visiting friend Mr A C Saul Apt 602 - 900 Chestnut St San Francisco, length of stay per[manent], intends to become citizen, 5'11" dark complexion, brown hair and eyes.6 
MarriageHe married Anne Loveday Fayle on 15 Jun 1940 in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa.7

The London Times death notice read, "Edward Bonnycastle Mayne, CBE peacefully on December 21, late of Alresford. Husband of Veronica and the late Anne.10
