Thomas was a District Manager to dyers & cleaners & L--- Pr---, age 28, and born in Newcastle on Tyne. Elizabeth was 28 and born in London. They had two sons, Thomas R (1, London) and Herbert A (3 months, Nottingham), as well as a domestic servant.6 
1911 CensusThomas Anthony and Elizabeth Pierce appeared on the 1911 Census of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, at 87 Burford Road, The Forest. They had been married 12 years and Elizabeth was the mother of 7 children, all of whom were still living. Their house had seven rooms. Thomas was 38, a District Manager for an Insurance Company (life, fire, accident) and was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Elizabeth was 38 and born in Gospel Oak, London. Their children were Thomas Robert (11), Herbert Anthony (9), Graham Reid (8), Mildred Elizabeth (7), Marion Alice (5), Lilian Mary (3), and Clifford Evan (1). The oldest child was born in London, the youngest in Hull, and the rest in Nottingham. The eldest four attended school. They had one female servant.7
