Arthur was 39, a carpenter, and was born in Wandsworth Surrey. Charlotte was 36, a carpenter's wife, and was born in Wapping Middlesex. They had one son - Thomas, age 2, born in Wapping.7 
1891 CensusArthur and Charlotte Boltwood appeared on the 1891 Census of Ipswich, Suffolk, at Bromford road, Riverview Terrace. Arthur was 48, employed as a joiner, and was born in Croydon Surrey. Charlotte was 40 and born in Wapping London. Their children were Thomas (12), Lottie (8), Harry (6), Ida (3), and Eva (4 months). The first three were scholars. Thomas was born in Croydon and the rest in Ipswich.6 
1901 CensusArthur and Charlotte appeared on the 1901 Census of Ipswich, Suffolk, at 3 Rosary Villas, Bramford Rd. Arthur was 57, worked as an engine & machine makers joiner, and was born in Croydon Surrey. Charlotte was 53 and born in Wapping London. Their children at home were Harry (16, pupil teacher board school) and Ida (13.)8 
1911 CensusCharlotte Boltwood appeared on the 1911 Census of Hertfordshire, at 171 Eleanor Cross Rd, Waltham Cross. Charlotte lived alone. She was a widow, age 64, and living on private means. Her birthplace was Wapping, London. She reported being married 34 years and was the mother of 5 children, 4 of whom were still living.9 
DeathCharlotte died in 1914.10
