Residence Dorothy lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and boarded with Owen and Flo Moore when she first came to Canada. Flo was the sister of Dorothy's brother William Thomas Smart's wife.1,8 
Passenger ListShe was listed on a manifest dated 14 Jun 1929 for the SS Duchess of York, traveling 3rd (tourist) class from Liverpool, arriving at Quebec June 21st. Details from the list: age 31, widow, birthplace London, previously in Winnipeg, stenographer. Her home address was the Montrose Apartments in Winnipeg and she planned to travel there by CPR. Her passport was issued April 8, 1929.9
