Archibald was 28, born 9 May 1872 in rural Ontario, of Scotch origin, Presbyterian, and was a farmer working on his own account. Mary was 20, born 30 October 1878 in Ontario. They had no children. They were both able to read and write, of Scotch origin, and Presbyterian. They lived in an 8 room brick house, owned 100 acres, 1 house, and 2 outbuildings.6 
1911 CensusArch and Mary Bell appeared on the 1911 Census of Saugeen Township, Bruce County, Ontario, at Concession 4 Lot 19. Arch was 39, born in May 1872 in Ontario, of Scotch origin, Presbyterian, and a farmer. Mary was 31 and born in October 1879 in Ontario. Their children were Christina (10), Donald (8), Florence (5), and Malcolm (2 months). They had a schoolteacher lodging with them as well.7

Archibald was 49, born in Ontario, father born in Scotland, mother in PEI, and was a farmer working on his own account. Mary was 41, born in Ontario, father in Scotland, mother in Ontario. Their children were Christinna (20, student), Donald (18, worked on farm), Florance (15, school 2 months), and Malcom (10, school 9 months). The family was Presbyterian.8
