The residence of Mr and Mrs J H McConnell, 123 Amphion street, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday, when their second daughter, Margaret, was united in marriage to D A Fair, eldest son of Mr and Mrs D Fair, Camosun street. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a gown of white satin and carried a shower bouquet of briday [sic] roses and carnations. She was attended by her sister Annie, who was becomingly dressed in pink satin carrying a bouquet of pale pink carnations. The groom was supported by J Grant. Miss Della Fair played the wedding march. The groom's gift to the bride was a pearl necklace, to the bridesmaid, pearl ring, and to the groomsman gold cuff links. After a dainty wedding breakfast, served in the dining-room, which was decorated with smilax and white carnations, Mr and Mrs D Fair left on the 4.30 boat for Seattle, Portland and Vancouver amid showers of rice. The bride's travelling costume was a navy blue tailored suit, hat of black velvet and white willow plumes. On their return they will reside at their new home, 1617 Camosun street.
