They obtained a licence to marry in September 4th and were married by a Lutheran pastor on the 14th. The witnesses were Stewart Begg of Detroit and Adeline Frank of Detroit.5 
ResidenceHe lived with his family in Michigan where he was a supervisor for The Michigan Bell Telephone Company.6 
1940 CensusWilliam P and Dorothy E Begg appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Sylvan Lake, Oakland County, Michigan, at 1455 Rosedale Place. They owned their home which was worth $3000. In 1935 they lived in Sylvan Lake but not in the same house as in 1940. William was 37, had 4 years of college, born in Canada, naturalized, and worked 40 hours the previous week as an installer for the Telephone Company. The previous year he worked 52 weeks and earned $2599. Dorothy was 29, education 3 years of high school, birthplace Michigan. Their children were Marilyn L (8), Joyce M (7), and Dorothy S (3). Dorothy provided the information about the household to the census taker.7

DeathWilliam died in 1978.6
