1916 CensusHarry and his wife Isabel appeared on the 1916 Census of Edward Municipality, Manitoba, at Township 1 Range 28 W1, enumerated 1 Jun 1916. Harry was 21 years old, birthplace United States, immigrated in 1896, naturalized, Presbyterian, and was a farmer. Isabel was 19 and born in Manitoba.7 
1921 CensusHenry and Isabella Lyle appeared on the 1921 Census of Edward Municipality, Manitoba, at Section 9 Township 1 Range 28. They rented their 5 room wood house. Henry was 20 [sic], born in the USA, parents born in Ontario, immigrated in 1896, naturalized in 1900. Henry was working on his own account on a rental farm. Isabella was 24, born in Manitoba, parents born in Ontario. Their children were Ruth E (4) and Agness (3). The family was Presbyterian. The next farm was occupied by John and Frances Lyle.8

Lyleton, Man.--- Mrs Francis Lyle, wife of the late John Lyle, died at her home here Wednesday, following a few weeks' illness. Mrs Lyle was born near Ottawa, Ont, 72 years ago. She was married to John Lyle 50 years ago, and they came to this country in 1891, settling on a farm where they resided until Mr Lyle's death in 1928. She is survived by a foster-son Harry Lyle, of Lauder; a brother-in-law, A M Lyle, and two nieces, also a brother in Los Angeles. The funeral will be held Friday.9

Agnes Isabel Lyle Becomes Bride Of Harold J Rolston
A wedding was solemnized in St Matthew's Cathedral, Brandon, Man., at 4 pm Feb 3, when Agnes Isabel Lyle, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry Lyle, of Lauder, Man., became the bride of AC1 Harold James Rolston, Dauphin, younger son of Mr and Mrs R Rolston, of Virden. Rev Caulfield of No 2 Manning Depot, RCAF, Brandon, performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a two-piece wool boucle dress in chess blue, the bodice of chess blue wool lace with high neckline. The dress was worn with a matching jacket. her corsage was of Butterfly roses.
The bride was attended by Miss Jean L George, of Deloraine, who wore a beige dressmaker suit of wool boucle, with a corsage of Johanna Hill roses.
Mr Ralph Rolston, of Brandon, was his brother's best man.
A wedding dinner was served in the Cecil hotel.10

VIRDEN (Special) -- Mr and Mrs Hank Lyle of Virden were honored at a belated anniversary dinner on April 21 to mark their 57th wedding anniversary which took place on March 16.
The couple were married at Lyleton in 1916 and have been residents of Virden for a number of years. Mr Lyle has been an ardent curler, playing both in the local club and at bonspiels elsewhere.
Mr and Mrs Lyle have a daughter, Mrs Harold Rolston (Agnes), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.11
 
DeathHarry died on 26 Feb 1975 in Brandon, Manitoba.12

LYLE: On Wednesday, Feb 26 1975. At the Assiniboine Centre, Brandon, Man. Harry (Hank) Lyle, age 80 years, of Virden, Man. Funeral service will be held at St Paul's United Church, Virden, Friday, Feb 28, at 2 pm. Interment in Virden cemetery. Memoriams may be made to the St Paul's United Church Memorial Fund. G R Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Virden, are in care of arrangements.12
