BaptismShe was baptized on 12 Apr 1884 in St Peter Battersea, Surrey. The register noted that she was born November 11th 1877 and was the daughter of Thomas Joseph, a sewing-machine maker, & Emma Martin Cox of 11 Meyrick Road. She was baptised the same day as her brother Alfred.1 
(with Parents) 1891 CensusPhoebe appeared on the 1891 Census of Battersea, London with her parents. She was 13, a Scholar, and born in Battersea Surrey.3 
(with Father) 1901 CensusShe appeared on the 1901 Census of Battersea, London with her widowed father. Phoebe was 22, single, worked as a dressmaker on her own account at home, and was born in Battersea London.4 
MarriageShe married Alfred Edward Rees in 1905.5
 
1911 CensusAlfred and Phoebe Rees appeared on the 1911 Census of Balham, London, at 7 Station Parade. Alfred was 31, an Assistant 2nd class to the London County Council, and was born in Birmingham. Phoebe was 33, a dressmaker and employer working at home, birthplace Battersea. They had been married 6 years and had no children.6 
Research Note There are a couple of entries in the birth index after 1911 for children surnamed Rees with mother's maiden name Cox; perhaps children of Phoebe. 
(Mentioned) ObituaryA sister Mrs A Rees of Walton-on-Naze, England was mentioned in Emma Mary Susanna Wright's 1944 obituary.7 
DeathPhoebe died on 22 Mar 1950.8
