Research Note This family tended to get their children baptised in batches, perhaps when the authorities pressed them to do so. 
Note.On daughter Kate's baptism entry in the parish register in 1886, it was noted that the family were paupers.7 
1891 CensusThomas Fernee and Frances Emma Simmonds appeared on the 1891 Census of Pancras, London, at 66 Peckwater Street. At 68 Peckwater Street were Charles and Robert Fernee [his cousins]. Thomas' family lived in three rooms and shared the address with cousin Sarah and her family [surname Denny]. Thomas was 30, employed as a Carman, and was born in Pancras. Frances was 30 and was born in Oxford. Their children Ellen Elizabeth, Florence Amelia, Thomas William, James, Daisy and Rosina were with them.8 
1901 CensusThomas Fernee and Frances Emma Simmonds appeared on the 1901 Census of St Pancras, London, at 66 Peckwater Street. The Fernees lived in 4 rooms and another family occupied 2 rooms. Thomas was 40, worked as a Carman, and was born in Kentish Town, London. F. Emma was 38 and born in Oxford. Their children Ellen Elizabeth, Florence Amelia, James, Daisy, Rosina, Alice Maud, George, Mary and Ernest were living with them.9 
DeathThomas died in 1909.10
 
BurialHe was buried on 9 Feb 1909 in St Pancras Cemetery.11
