Isabella, or Bella, McLean was the youngest of thirteen children born to John McLean and his wife Flora McKinnon, whose families immigrated to Ontario from the Isle of Mull, Scotland in the early 1800s. At the age of 18, Bella married Harvey Inkster who also lived in Bruce County. Very shortly after, their first child was born and they went on to have six sons and four daughters. In April of 1920, the Inksters moved to Raymore, Saskatchewan and in August Isabella died of pneumonia. She was 41 years old.
