(Witness) Marriage Angus Hector McGillivray witnessed the marriage of his brother Alexander James McGillivray and Minnie Gertrude Sheridan on 13 Jun 1894 in Trafalgar Tp, Halton County, Ontario. He was recorded as A H McGillivray of Port Elgin.6 
Item. 1902 Letter to [Rev.] Calvin McQuesten from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten reads, in part:
We are having special services every night this week up to the Communion, different ministers are speaking. Last night Mr. McGillivray from Newmarket, a brother of the one in London. I was too tired to go out but Mary said he was splendid, I hope to hear him to-night. *footnote reads: Angus H. MacGillivray (?-1919), Knox College class of 1899, was a pastor in Newmarket, Chatham, and in Hamilton, and was a chaplain during the war (BDKC 156).7

(Minister) Marriage A H McGillivray of Toronto married Sylvester Hadley Stuart and his sister Mary McGillivray on 7 Sep 1909 in Windsor, Essex County, Ontario.9 
1911 CensusAngus and Lilly appeared on the 1911 Census of Weston Village, York County, Ontario, at George Street. Angus was 40, born May 1871 in Ontario, Scotch, Presbyterian, a Minister, employed, income not recorded, had $3000 in life insurance costing $75. Lilly was 34, born in April 1877 in Ontario, of Scotch origin, and Presbyterian. Their sons were Cameron (5) and Kenneth (3), and a servant lived with them (Chase Graham, 21.)10

The attestation papers included the following information: born May 27th 1871 at Port Elgin Ontario, address 27 Ontario Ave Hamilton, next-of-kin wife Mrs A H MacGillivray, profession Clergyman, religion Presbyterian, former military service Chaplain York Rangers 5 years, willing to serve in the 173rd Battn Canadian Highlanders CEF with rank of Hon. Captain.11 
DeathAngus died on 14 Nov 1919 in 27 Ontario Ave, Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario.
Information from certificate: 49, born Bruce Co Ont, burial Hamilton Cemetery, Clergyman, married, father Archibald MacGillivray, mother Anne McKinnon, died of Acute Phthisis, informant Rev R.T. Cockburn, reg 15 Nov 1919.2 
(Mentioned) ObituaryHe was mentioned in Catherine Margaret McGillivray's 1928 obituary as brother Dr A.H. McGillivray of Guelph.12 
Note.Veterans Affairs records indicated that Hon Capt & Chap Angus H MacGillivray of the 173rd Bn died 14 Nov 1919. Next of kin was his wife Mrs L J MacGillivray of 27 Ontario Ave, Hamilton, Ontario.13
