ImmigrationEliza Oliver immigrated to Canada in 1857. Her brothers and parents also emigrated.5

1871 CensusJohn and Eliza McMaster appeared on the 1871 Census of Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario. John was 29, born in Ontario, of Irish origin, and was a farmer. Eliza was 30 and born in England. With them was Arthur (5, born Ontario). The family was Wesleyan Methodist and was enumerated next to Eliza's brother Wm Oliver.6 
1881 CensusJohn and Eliza appeared on the 1881 Census of Campbellford, Northumberland County, Ontario, enumerated 4 Apr 1881. John was married, age 38, born in Ontario, of Irish origin, Methodist, and a Carpenter. Eliza was married, age 39, born in England, of English origin, and Methodist. With them were their sons Arthur (15) and Franklin (8) as well as Addie McMaster (12, no relationship noted.)7 
1891 CensusJohn and Eliza appeared on the 1891 Census of Campbellford, Northumberland County, Ontario. The McMaster family lived in a two story brick house with 10 rooms. They could all read and write. John was 48, born in Ontario, parents born in Ontario, religion Methodist, and he was employed as a Carpenter. Eliza was 50, born in England, parents born in England, and Methodist. In their household was son Franklin (18), lodger Adelaide McMaster (20, born in Ontario, parents born in Ontario), and Eliza's mother Mary Oliver (lodger, 70, widow, born in England, Methodist.)8 
1901 CensusJohn and Eliza appeared on the 1901 Census of Campbellford, Northumberland County, Ontario, at Lot 14 Garry Street, enumerated 8 Apr 1901. John was 58, born 28 Sep 1842 in rural Ontario, of Irish origin, Methodist, and was a Carpenter working on his own account. Eliza was 59, born 27 Apr 1841 in England, and immigrated in 1857. Eliza's mother Maria Oliver was in the household, as well as one house servant.
They lived in a brick house with 8 rooms on a 3 acre lot with one outbuilding such as a barn or stable.5 
DeathEliza died on 10 Mar 1912 in Havelock, Peterborough County, Ontario.
