Information from register: George Fernee, bachelor and Chrissey Bennett, spinster, both of this parish were married by Banns. Witnesses were [George's brother and sister-in-law] Samuel Fernee and Eleanor Fernee.3 
(Witness) Marriage George Fernee and Chrissey Fernee witnessed the marriage of Alexander Falconer and Mary Bennett on 20 Mar 1837 in St Pancras, Middlesex. Mary was the widow of Chrissey's brother Abraham.4 
Note.Their daughter Ellen Emma, born in 1839, reported that her birthplace was Blackwall, Middlesex (per 1871 census). Blackwall was a hamlet in Poplar parish and includes the West India docks. 
1841 CensusGeorge and Crissey Fernee appeared on the 1841 Census of St James Clerkenwell (Finsbury), Middlesex, at Penton Street. George was 50, a Fruiterer, and born in Middlesex. Crissey was 46 and born in Middlesex. With them were their children George (26, chair maker), John (24, watch maker), Wm (17, jewellers apprentice), Thos (15), Ellen (2), as well as Maria Wright (56, Independent, and born in the county). Note that the 1841 census records ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years, does not record relationships, and only indicates whether or not the person was born in the county.5 
(Other) 1851 CensusChrissey appeared on the 1851 Census of Finsbury, Islington, Middlesex, in the household of George Fernee. She was married, age 55, a Housekeeper, born in Hornsey, Middlesex and George's mother.2 
1861 CensusCrissey Fernee appeared on the 1861 Census of Islington, Middlesex, at 1 Pultney Terrace. She was a lodger, age 34 [sic], married, and born in Highgate, Middlesex. No other family members were with her.6 
DeathChrissy died on 2 Dec 1862 in 1 Pulteney Terrace, Islington, Middlesex.
Details from certificate: Christiana Fernee, age 67, wife of George Fernee, retired Greengrocer, cause of death Diseased Liver, certified. The informant was E Fernee [daughter Ellen Emma] of 18 Highbury Place, Islington, who was present at death. Registered December 3rd.7
