Louisa was born in 1830 in either Canada or New York. Her father was named David and there was a David Teal family in Monroe County, Michigan in 1850 shortly before she married Peter Van Zandt there. Although she was not with them in the 1850 census she not been found elsewhere. I have tentatively placed her in this David Teal family and hope to find more evidence to confirm.
Louisa and Peter remained in Monroe County where they had a family of 8 children, 4 of whom survived Louisa. She died in 1909.
