Alexander was 63, single, born in Ontario, parents born in Scotland, occupation farmer. Also in the household were his unmarried siblings Archibald (53) and Flora (57) and his mother Catherine (87). They spoke Gaelic as well as English and were Presbyterian.8 
Note.Sandy built a fine white brick house in the centre of the family farm. A barn was built in 1893 and was still standing in 1997. After their parents died, Sandy, Flora, and Archie managed the farm and sold it in 1927.9 
(Informant) DeathHe registered the 1929 death of his mother Catharine. He was recorded as son Alex Bell of Port Elgin.10
