(Widowed) DeathHer husband Joseph died in 1820 at the age of 34.4 
1841 CensusMary Stocker and John Stocker appeared on the 1841 Census of Broadclyst, Devon. They lived in the village. Mary was 55, of Independent Means, and born in the county of Devon. John was 20, a Mason, born in Devon. Note that the 1841 census records ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years, does not record relationships, and only indicates whether or not the person was born in the county.5 
1851 CensusMary Stocker appeared on the 1851 Census of Broadclyst, Devon. She was a widow, age 70, Annuitant, and was born in Broadclist. With her was her widowed daughter Elizabeth Pearce (43) and her granddaughter Elizabeth Coleman (6). They lived in the village.6 
DeathMary died in 1856.7
 
BurialShe was buried on 7 Feb 1856 in Broadclyst. The register noted that she was 76 years old and her residence was the village.8

  11. Comment: Joseph and Mary were the only Stocker couple having children baptised in Broad Clyst between 1795 and 1825. They had children every two years and there is a gap between Elizabeth (1807) and Sarah (1811) where William fits. As well, his second given name was Martin.
