Research Note The names Sally and Sarah are interchangeable. 
BaptismSally Oliver was baptized on 21 Oct 1806 in Cheriton Fitzpaine, Devon.1 
(Heir) WillShe was named an heir in the will of her father Richard Oliver dated 2 Oct 1831. Son Richard and daughter Sarah as tenants in common were bequeathed his dwelling house now in the occupation of Elizabeth Prior together with the part of the garden thereto now in the occupation of William Cruwys on the west side of the gutter, all part of Pynes.2 
(Witness) MarriageSally Oliver witnessed the marriage of her brother Thomas Oliver and Sarah Way Channing on 11 Jan 1834 in Cadeleigh, Devon.3,4 
(Other) 1841 CensusSarah appeared on the 1841 Census of Thorverton, Devon, in the household of William Pasmore and Ann Oliver. She was a female servant, age 30, and born in the county [She was Ann Oliver's aunt].5 
(Heir) WillSally Oliver was named an heir in the will of her mother Sarah Oliver dated 17 Jan 1844. She was noted to be of the parish of Thorverton, Devon and was bequeathed £50 as well as sharing with her sister Mary all the beds, household furniture, plate, linen, china, and glass.6 
(Witness) BaptismSally Oliver was a sponser at the baptism of her niece Mary Oliver on 17 Mar 1848 in Mamhead, Devon.7 
(Sibling) 1851 CensusSarah Oliver appeared on the 1851 Census of Cheriton Fitzpaine, Devon, as a sister in the household of John Oliver. She was 32, unmarried, and born in Cheriton Fitzpaine.8 
1861 CensusSally Oliver appeared on the 1861 Census of Stockleigh English, Devon, at Holiford. Sally was unmarried, 48 years old, and born in Cheriton Fitzpaine. She was the housekeeper in a household with two bachelor farmer brothers, a dairymaid, three carters, and a farm servant.9 
(Other) 1871 CensusShe appeared on the 1871 Census of Dawlish, Devon, in the household of John and Martha Manning. Sally was 60, unmarried, born in Cheriton Fitz Payne, and was recorded as an Aunt. [She is Martha's mother's sister]10 
1881 CensusSally Oliver and James Pasmore appeared on the 1881 Census of Cadeleigh, Devon, at Cat Lake. James was 55, unmarried, District Superintendent for Fire and Life Insurance, and was born in Cheriton Fitzpaine. His aunt Sally Oliver, age 70, unmarried, born Cheriton Fitzpaine, was his housekeeper. An insurance clerk also was there.11 
(Other) 1891 CensusSally Oliver appeared on the 1891 Census of Thorverton, Devon, in the household of William Richard Cosway and Mary Ann Cosway at Rull Farm. Aunt Sally was 84, single, and born in Cheriton.12 
DeathSally died in 1896.13,14
 
BurialShe was buried on 6 Nov 1896 in St Thomas a Becket Thorverton, Devon. The register noted that she was 88 and her abode was Rull Farm, Northdown.13
