Details from the register: Simon Palmer and Ann Parker, both of the parish of St Paul Bristol, were married by Banns and the witnesses were John Francis and H Dimmock. Simon and Ann signed their own names.5 
1841 CensusSimon and Ann Palmer appeared on the 1841 Census of Weston Super Mare, Somerset, at Hope Cottage. Simon was 30, a Shoe Maker. Ann was 30. The whole family was born in Somerset. The children were Joseph (10), Eliza (8), Thomas (6), Benjn (4), Henry (3), and Jane (1). Also in the household were an apprentice and a female servant.

Research Note Bleadon Palmer chart from the WsM FHS has a son George bapt Oct 1843. A check of the register showed that George's parents were Samuel, basketmaker, & wife Ann. 
(Informant) DeathAnn Palmer of Weston Super Mare registered the 1845 death of [her father] George Parker. She was present at his death and signed with an X.7 
1851 CensusSimon and Anne appeared on the 1851 Census of Weston Super Mare, Somerset, at Regent Street. Simon was 44, a Shoemaker employing 3 men, and was born in Lympsham. Anne was 42 and born in Kewstoke. Their children at home were Thomas (16), Henry (13), Jane (11), Walter (9), Mary Ann (6), Samuel (4), and Margaret (1).
Enumerated next to them were Ann's brother Henry & their mother Elizabeth [although not designated as related].4 
1861 CensusSimon and Anne appeared on the 1861 Census of Weston Super Mare, Somerset, at 4 Regent Street. Simon was 53, a Bootmaker, born in Lympsham. Anne was 51, born in Kewstoke. Children at home were Walter (19, solicitor's general clerk), Mary A (16, school teacher), and Samuel (14, scholar). Also with them were grandson Herbert S Hemens (5) and nephew John Chamberlain (13). In the same dwelling but recorded as a separate household were Elizabeth Parker (80) and her son Henry Parker (49, born Kewstoke.)8 
(Informant) DeathAnn Palmer of Regent Street, Weston Super Mare who was present at the death registered the 1868 death of [her mother] Betty Parker.9

(Mentioned) ObituaryShe was mentioned in her sister Laura Mary Penny's 1946 obituary as a principal mourner, Mrs Batten. Mrs Batten also thanked all friends for their great kindness and sympathy. She was mentioned again on a floral tribute signed "In loving memory" from Laura Mary's sisters Louisa, Helen and Kit.9
