Mr and Mrs J C Cobby, of 5 Langton-street, Chelsea, have been the recipients of many messages of condolence in the great bereavement they have sustained by the death of their fifth son, Frank Frederick Cobby. The deceased, who was in his nineteenth year, passed away on Wednesday afternoon at the Royal Naval Hospital, Gillingham, near Chatham, where he had been confined a few days with pneumonia. Born at Battersea, the late Mr Cobby was brought to Langton-street just sixteen years ago, when his father opened a newsagent's and confectioner's business. Ten years later the shop was converted into a corndealers, and four years ago Mr Cobby, senr, started a hairdresser's business in place of the corndealer's. Late in October young Mr Cobby went to join the Navy, and was stationed in Pembroke Barracks, Chatham, where he contracted his brief illness. The funeral took place on Wednesday at Wandsworth Cemetery. The chief mourners were Mr and Mrs J.C. LOST HUSBAND AND MOTHER
Mrs Cobby Recovering

A member of a well known West Chelsea family has passed away by the death in hospital on Tuesday week of Mr Percy Cobby, 21 Langton-street. His death followed injuries he received on September 8 while visiting his mother-in-law, Mrs Lichfield. She too has died from injuries. With Mr Cobby was his wife who is in hospital making satisfactory progress.
Mr Cobby was 38 years of age. He was born at 5 Langton-street, Chelsea, where his father established a building and decorating business about 30 years ago. Mr Percy Cobby was educated at Ashburnham School, and later assisted his father in the business at Langton-street.

CHELSEA BUILDER'S GREAT LOSS
------------
Funeral of Two Daughters and
Four Grandchildren

A large number of Chelsea residents, including tradespeople, have expressed their sympathy with Mr John Charles Cobby, 5 Langton-street, Chelsea. From his home on Monday week took place the funeral of his two youngest married daughters, two granddaughters, and two grandsons. They were Mrs M E Mills (41) and her two daughters by her first marriage, Miss Vera Eleanor Shepherd (19) and Doreen Mary Shepherd (15); Mrs Catherine Martha Walter (35), and her two sons, George (11) and John Francis (4).
It is only seven weeks ago that Mr J C Cobby lost another member of his family by the death of his 38 years old son, Percy.
Mrs Mills was living temporarily with her sister having been compelled to vacate her former home. It was her intention to live in a house opposite her sister's home.
A sad feature is that her daughter, Vera, was looking forward to her marriage on October 19 to Corporal Victor Hunter, of the Royal Engineers.
Born in Chelsea, Mrs Mills was the daughter of Mr J C Cobby, 5 Langton-street, and of the late Mrs Cobby. Her father established a builder's and decorator's business there over 40 years ago. She was married to Mr George Mills, of Chelsea, several years after the death of her former husband, Mr Arthur Shepherd, who was a member of a Kensington family. Her daughters were educated in Chelsea. Doreen attended Park-walk School. Mrs Walter was the youngest of Mr Cobby and of the late Mrs Cobby.
Buried in Same Grave

The bodies were interred in one grave at Fulham Cemetery, Sheen. The mourners included Mr Jack Walter (husband of Mrs Walter), Mr George Mills (husband of Mrs Mills), Mr John Charles Cobby (father of Mrs Walter and Mrs Mills), Miss Lily Cobby, Mr Joseph Cobby, Mrs McKitterick, Mr George Walter, Mr and Mrs George Cobby, Mrs Edney, Miss V McKitterick, Aircraftman Eric and Mrs Doris Shepherd, Mrs J Cobby, Mrs M Walter, Corporal Victor Hunter, Mrs Holmes, Mrs Lilliot, Mrs Young, Mrs Phillips (respresentative of Messrs. Morris (Mantles Ltdlk 78 Wells-street, W.1), Mrs L Sheppard, Mrs V Shepherd, Mr B Mason, and Mrs M Crotty.
A large number of beautiful floral emblems testified to the sympathy felt with the bereaved.
Messrs T Cocks and Sons, 70 Rochester-row, Westminster, arranged the funeral. Some of the flowers were supplied by Miss Nellie Warner, 641 Fulham-road.
Mr G Mills and Mr J Walter wish to return thanks for the kind expressions of sympathy extended to them in their great loss and for the many beautiful floral emblems.12
