DEATH OF MRS IRVINE RENDLE

This community was unexpressably shocked when word came yesterday that Mrs Irine Rendle had passed away. One week ago she, with her husband and four children, left Rawlins for their summer home in the mountains. Yesterday word came that she had been suddenly stricken with an acute attack of appendicitis. Dr Barber was summoned but he arrived too late to be of assistance. Her husband and the doctor brought her to Rawlins, and she passed away about one hour after arriving home.

Jessie Rendle was a leader in Rawlins social, civic and church life, and her passing away will leave a void that will be hard to fill. Her home and family was ideal. Her presence added sunshine and happiness to every gathering. She was a most loveable character. On these crowded tragic days we do not long reflect about the things that are gone by, nor often hark back to our friends and neighbors who have passed on, but everyone who knew Mrs Rendle will miss from our midst an exceptionally bright, capable and loveable woman, who made Rawlins happier and better for having lived among us, and above all who was a devoted and loving wife and mother.

Her friends were only limited by her acquaintances.

Mrs Rendle was born in Campbellford Ont., on December 4, 1883, and was the daughter of Alfred Denmark.

She was married to Irvine Rendle on July 18, 1906. To this union was born four children, namely Georgie, Eleanor, Irvine Jr and Marjorie, all of whom survive her.9
